Charm Medical Supply leads rally to oppose Massachusetts Medicaid cuts.

Charm Medical Supply, a leading healthcare and medical equipment supplier to approximately 6000 patients in Massachusetts, led a rally on December 16, 2009 to oppose Massachusetts’ proposed Medicaid cuts.

For Immediate Release PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 20, 2009

Charm Medical Supply, a leading healthcare and medical equipment supplier, joined over 100 medical equipment and supply providers, and the patients they serve, in a public hearing to defeat Medicaid cuts that Massachusetts’ Division of Health Care Finance and Policy is proposing.
The impact of these cuts would be significant on Medicaid patients and the small businesses that deliver oxygen, feeding tubes, adult diapers and other vital medical supplies which enable the most fragile patients to be cared for at home and not in hospitals or nursing facilities. The well-being of these Medicaid patients is significantly dependent upon their providers’ ability to regularly deliver products. Further reimbursement cuts would force these suppliers to substitute inferior products, eliminate delivery routes, reduce insurance processing services, or go out of business entirely.
